Ursinus College Endowment

Endowed Scholarship Agreement

The College endowment is made up of many individual funds including scholarship funds, faculty chairs, and program support funds. The principal of these funds is never spent, with the investment income generated each year supporting the areas designated in the legal agreements for each fund. A healthy endowment is critical to the long-term financial security and stability of Ursinus College.

Areas of support include:

Students
    Financial aid and scholarships
    Academic and instructional support
    Research
    Study abroad

Faculty
    Compensation
    Professional development
    Operations
    Research

Program Support

A gift to the endowment is an expression of the passions and beliefs that guide the philanthropic dreams and goals of an individual, a couple, a family, or an organization and permanently establishes the donor’s commitment to the future.

Endowment Gifts

Gifts of any amount and of any kind may be directed to an existing Ursinus College Endowment Fund. Such gifts may be donated during your lifetime, or you may also designate this fund as a beneficiary of your estate plan, retirement plan, insurance policy, etc. You may take great satisfaction in knowing that your contribution will provide everlasting support to the College and its mission.

Named Endowed Funds

If you have an affinity for a particular College program or department, you may establish a named fund that would provide endowed, perpetual support to that general area. Current named endowed funds benefit student scholarships, faculty chairs, student and faculty research, and program support, to name a few. Named endowed funds require a minimum contribution as outlined below, which may be funded during your lifetime, through a planned gift, or a combination of both.
